The legal and policy landscape in India remains inadequate, with laws and regulations that do not fully protect transgender individuals from discrimination. This has far-reaching consequences, limiting opportunities, perpetuating stigma, and hindering the overall well-being of transgender communities.
To address this urgent need, NNTP is at the forefront of the fight for equality and social justice. With a strong national presence across and a diverse membership, we are uniquely positioned to address the urgent needs of transgender individuals across the country.

Why should a community stay in a state of poverty?
The Transgender community, being one of the most visible community in the LGBTQI spectrum, also makes it the most vulnerable. Transgender individuals often face discrimination in education, employment, housing, and healthcare, further reinforcing their marginalization, leading to limited opportunities, economic hardship, and social exclusion. This vicious cycle of discrimination and poverty, perpetuated by deep-rooted societal biases and structural inequalities is difficult to break and we are here to change that!
